The Hand-carved Julius Desk

Julius Blüthner designed and carved this gardenscape into his music desk in ca. 1882 and it endured until the 1920's. Its peaceful scene has become a hallmark of the classic Blüthner instrument and recognized by Blüthner owners and admirers around the world.

After restoring an early era Style 8 Blüthner with such a desk, the current generation of the Blütner family found it fitting to offer the iconic desk once again. It can be added to any Blüthner grand piano design, or enjoyed as an integral part of the Julius Blüthner Supreme Edition model, which features a host of case details and carvings that together pay hommage to the founder.
